Along with access to a 24/7 emergency call system, we provide medication management, grooming, bathing, and all other activities of daily living. Our care team is here to serve you, should your needs become greater. As a premier community, we offer not only nutritious meals but fresh linens, housekeeping service, weekly laundry service, and daily activities to help promote physical, mental, and emotional welfare.
More Than Just a Room
We offer rooms in a great homelike environment. As a part of feeling like home at Sungarden Terrace we want you to know that the entire community is your home. There are several areas to lounge or participate in activities. When you come to visit, we have several inviting sitting areas to enjoy while being with your loved ones. You will have more than just a room here, you will have the entire community at your disposal, plus our beautiful gardens and outdoor space to our theater lounge.
CARE WHEN YOU NEED IT
Care assistance differs for each person and we recognize that. We offer basic services of cooking, laundering and daily housekeeping to all our residents. Should personal needs change, we can provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to any resident in our community. That help can range from shower assistance to dressing and grooming, or escorting someone to the dining room. Sungarden Terrace takes pride in our individualized care plans.
MEMORY CARE
Caring for a loved one with dementia can be challenging and we are here to help relieve you of your hardship by letting family get back to being family. We serve our memory care residents simply expecting just a smile in return. The outside perimeter was carefully designed to promote a feeling of independence for the residents while providing a closed off and comfortable area for them to enjoy. This allows them to navigate their surroundings and regain their independence. Through compassion, our care team is ready to provide your loved one with all the assistance they require. Activities are crucial for people living with dementia. We have a specialized activity program intended to offer cognitive benefits and social stimulation. Our Sunbridge program is a unique approach to providing integration between both parts of our community, by giving our memory care residents the opportunity to make meaningful connections with those in assisted living. With our specialized environment and care, your loved one will have the quality of life we all deserve.
A Home-Like Environment…
Sungarden Terrace is a special community and our Memory Care is exceptional. This Special Care Unit still carries our “home” feel and is made specifically for our memory care residents. We have staff available 24/7 to make sure that our residents are groomed and receive the oversight necessary to ensure they have help when they need it. We provide assistance with all activities of daily living, especially medication management to relieve the burden of organizing and ordering medications.
CUSTOM ACTIVITIES...
Dementia comes in many forms and through our experience we have learned the best ways to care for residents stricken by the disease. As a result of our many years of experience caring for people with dementia, we have developed activities that help to maintain their cognition for as long as possible. Activity is important for all people, especially those with dementia and we recognize that. There will always be some form of activity in our Memory Care as well as plenty of outdoor space for fresh air and exercise. On occasion we will also have a visit from the Humane Society or even live music to keep things different!
RESPITE CARE
Respite care is an effective service that welcomes a guest resident to stay temporarily at Sungarden Terrace. Although this time can be beneficial for the caregiver, our guest often expresses interest in making the short-term visit, permanent. Meeting new friends, participating in activities, enjoying restaurant-style meals, and having caregiver assistance during a respite stay can naturally open conversation to the benefits of living at Sungarden Terrace. Respite care is an option which is helpful and successful for everyone during family transitions.
Stay a Couple Days or a Couple Weeks...
We understand everyone needs a break from time to time and that opportunities to vacation occasionally arise. As a result we have created an opportunity for you to have your loved one stay with our trained and professional staff while you are away. They will be able to enjoy three delicious meals and two energizing snacks per day plus full access to our activities. Sungarden Terrace proudly offers you a chance to take a break or a vacation while we look after your loved one. Access to our entire community would be available if you should choose to use our respite services and there be availability. This is a wonderful way to experience our outstanding staff.
